how it all began…
After working for Anthony’s Per L’uomo in the Midtown Plaza for eleven years honing his skills, Anthony Graham-Cutts found himself in search of something new. The company restructured and closed its doors in Saskatchewan. With “the old Anthony’s” closing, many men in Saskatoon found themselves without a favourite place to shop. Wanting to continue to provide service and value to those existing clients, Anthony decided to open Anthonys Fashion For Men on Second Avenue in 2001. As the number of clients grew so did the amount of stock required to satisfy their needs. Anthonys Fashion For Men was steadily outgrowing its location.
In 2009 a larger space was secured on First Avenue. Only a block from its original location, the move positioned the store closer to Midtown Plaza and the shopping core of downtown Saskatoon.
With the new space came the opportunity for an innovative design and contemporary look. Wood and stone, browns and coppers replaced the old blacks and greys creating a unique environment to showcase menswear.
Over the years there have been many requests from the women of Saskatoon to provide the service and selection we do for our clients but for them. Early in 2015 the opportunity arose to acquire the location next door. After a great deal of planning and negotiation the space was secured and the extensive renovation began in late August. Re-opening in late October after a six week closure, the store was once again ready for business, re-branded as “Anthonys Fashion” and no longer just for men. Anthonys Fashion now offers both contemporary men’s and women’s collections unique to the city in an environment you won’t find anywhere else.
